Wilde Welten. Nature and Movement in Art presents the fascinating diversity and dynamism of nature as interpreted by six outstanding artists: Constanza Camila Kramer Garfias, Lena Keller, Eduardo Palomares, Aline Schwörer, Sujin Kim, and Ruscha Voormann. The exhibition showcases artworks that employ a wide range of metaphors, allegories, symbols, and associations to reflect the complexity and ambiguity of the theme across various media: painting, sculpture, video, and sound. The works offer playful, serious, and multifaceted visual interpretations of nature, highlighting both its beauty and our deep connection to it.
The audience is invited on a journey into uncharted territory—what early seafarers once called terra incognita—lands where anything was, and still is, possible. These imaginative landscapes may appear mysterious, alluring, or, for some, even fearsome. They are unexplored realms that exist both in nature and within our imagination. Through diverse artistic approaches, the exhibition emphasizes the fascination and mystery of the unknown. Viewers are encouraged to explore their own thoughts and emotions in response to these wild worlds and to be inspired by the energy and beauty of nature.
Wilde Welten. Nature and Movement in Art offers insight into the connection between art and nature, demonstrating how movement and wildness manifest in creative processes. It invites the audience to adopt new perspectives and discover the infinite possibilities of artistic interpretations of the natural world.
