Paul Schwer - Lightning

21.05.2023 - 15.10.2023

For the sculpture park and a bridge over the Gräfte at Museum Haus Opherdicke, Paul Schwer developed two constructions arranged with organically shaped PET objects and printed plates. He takes up patterns and structures from glass works by Wilhelm Buschulte and interprets them in a contemporary way.

In the "Boltanski Room" of the Center for International Light Art, jagged lines of light illuminate the vault like lightning and concentrate in the center of the room around the segment of an octagonal tube, which can also be found in Opherdicke. Its transparent wall cladding casts colored light - in the style of colored church windows - onto pillars, walls and the discarded street lamps.
